Superhard materials

[edit]

Thank you indeed for expanding that article - it was an enjoyable reading. I took liberty to rewrite it and will gladly explain detail (and help getting around wikipedia - please do not hesitate to ask). In brief, apart from trivial formatting, I trimmed some parts on on-going research and parts which are remotely related to hardness and are already described in other wikipedia articles (say optics of diamond). For ReB2, the low hardness can not be simply blamed for composition or purity (though they certainly do contribute), as those reports which demonstrated the hardness is low measured dependence on the load and reproduced high hardness values at low load.
